Eh, I'm a girl so it's hard to find anime I like w/o romance (and those above don't have 'romance' they have some accepted pairings, or hints that characters like each other, but nothing further than that). Animes with a bit of 'school' but that aren't based there much: SoulEater, YuYuHakusho, DeathNote, CodeGeass, DetectiveConan, FoolyCooly, ShamanKing, xxxHolic & DiaryOfACrazed Family.

Jul 20, 2010 - @MrYuppypuppy Depends on what you're watching, sure there are a lot of high school anime out there, but that's what was popular - but if you hadn't noticed that's winding down a bit. Shojo manga is always gonna lean toward romance, it's almost the point. A lot of that is done with the main purpose of selling though. Idk what you mean by 'art style', but lets see, One Piece has none of those, Trigun didn't, FMA didn't, Kuroshitsugi, Hellsing, & D Gray-Man don't. Running out of space now...
